APE Grupo presents delicate collections with a high level of craftsmanship at Coverings

APE Grupo Coverings

APE Grupo, a European leader in the design and marketing of ceramic products, has once again chosen to take a chance on the North American market by unveiling new collections and design proposals at Coverings 24. The firm will have a display at the largest trade fair specialising in the ceramics industry in the United States, which will take place in Atlanta between 22-25 April. The company will be at stand 1945 in the Tile of Spain Pavilion.

Throughout the fair, APE Grupo will be present with all its brands: Ilbagno, its new proposal which has emerged from a desire to offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art solutions with unlimited customisation; XLINING, its large-scale porcelain; Carmen, decorative ceramics in small pieces; and APE best for you.

APE Grupo is on display with all its brands: APE best for you, Carmen, XLINING and Ilbagno

One of its keys for this new edition of Coverings is its Carmen brand collections made in small ceramics with a high level of craftsmanship. This is a delicate product with a natural character and whose roots lie in tradition.

In this context, a wide selection of tones will be on display, ranging from those that are more natural to others that include intense colours where the glazed tile’s vibrant colour is unique.

De-toned, crackle effects, intense shines, natural clays and some volumes are common denominators in APE Grupo’s offerings. For example, the Genuine collection from Carmen is an artisanal collection where each piece is different. Its graphics have been designed to have the enamel react and create changes in tone, reproducing the visual effects of ceramics fired at low temperatures, just like they used to be in artisanal kilns.

Another important feature is the Mud collection, which is a range brimming with natural ceramics that arise from traditional fired clay but in a glazed version on this occasion. It’s traditional ceramics that invoke an authentic material language in a rectangular shape (7.5 x 30 cm) and eight different colours.

Following the Mediterranean tradition, the Faenza series will also be on display. Its name comes from an Italian city where potters used fine earthenware, a technique famous for giving ceramic products a glassy effect. APE Grupo has recovered this technique and developed a collection with a vibrant finish that’s almost unique and highly unusual. It’s available in many formats and colours, some of great intensity.

Pukka is a 6.4×26 cm tile characterised by its material expressiveness in its traditional ceramic enamel. These are irregular pieces (no two are the same) in terms of both morphology and tone. It’s impossible to discern whether it’s the passage of time or the technique used that makes them like this. With enormous visual vivacity, they offer imperfect beauty.

The Antico Casale collection will also be on display at the fair. This large tile was inspired by the artisanal work of Italy’s Tuscany region and 18th-century Montelupo Fiorentino in particular. Available in four natural colours – cotto, ecru, cenere and grafite – these pieces offer designs visual spaciousness thanks to their size, 120×120 cm and 120×60 cm.
